Description of Project:
In 2012, Pragmatix and a team of technical experts undertook an extensive conditions survey to determine the scope of work required to bring the hotel back to 5-star condition.
The hotel has undergone several internal and external refurbishment projects covering the upgrade of the club lounge, function room and pre-function area, a new curtain wall façade, upgrade and certification of the Atrium BMU, and extensive structural works to improve the seismic performance of the main hotel structure.
Role Undertaken:
Pragmatix has been the Landlord’s Representative, project manager and Engineer to the Construction Contract for New Zealand’s largest hotel, The Grand Millennium, Auckland, for over 10 years.
In 2012, Pragmatix and a team of technical experts undertook an extensive conditions survey to determine the scope of work required to bring the hotel back to 5-star condition. We managed the local design team and provided advice and coordination with the local territorial authority to ensure that Building Consents were approved in time to carry out works and maintaining operation of the site through Certificate’s of Public Use.

The overseas Client was unfamiliar with the local development and construction industry. Pragmatix provided local expertise and support, becoming a trusted partner. We ensured their requirements were met and guided them through a complex project that evolved over the last decade.
