Description of Project:
Nugent Rise is high-quality medium density residential development in Grafton, Auckland. The site is mixed use with 96 apartments, an office block, retail tenancies and carparks. The heating, cooling and fresh air systems installed were defective and required replacement.
Role Undertaken:
Jeff led the design team to come up with cost effective solutions to minimise the impact and time required to carry out works in the occupied spaces. He also carried out detailed planning with the contactors to ensure the process went smoothly.
Value added to project:
By working closely with the designers, contractor and owners / occupiers he was able to agree a process were all the preparatory work was completed before units arrived to site and the full changeover was completed in 6 days complete with a new BMS system.
The whole process was well executed including all health and safety requirements with no traffic issues which was a particular challenge for this project due to the busy location of the site.
