Description of Project:
This 15,000m2 of 5 Green Star office development at Sylvia Park was completed in stages for the retail and office tenancy fitouts to commence. The building has 10 levels including ground floor food & beverage tenancies to further extend Sylvia Park’s very popular Dining Lane, 9 levels of office accommodation and a public plaza to the north.
Role Undertaken:
Pragmatix carried out project management services and acted as the Engineer to Contract under NZS3910.
Value added to project:
The development was designed with long term ownership, investment value and tenancy excellence as key parts of the brief, together with serious consideration of construction procurement in a heated market to minimise programme duration.
In addition, the client introduced a significant design change very late in the process. The Pragmatix team were able to work closely with the client, identify the risks and implement a complete upgrade of the façade (in materials and look and feel) while the project was in for Building Consent. With a collaborative mindset, the changes were consented and built within the client’s budget and achieved national awards such as an Excellence Award from Property Council New Zealand in 2019 (their top category award).
