Pragmatix are engaged by Ngāi Tahu Property as project managers and design managers for five walk-up apartment buildings for the Kokowai Stage 1 development at Hobsonville Point.
Kokowai means creation, new life, a new way of looking at things. This led to looking at how high density living could support life and broader community connections. Three key concepts are Tupuranga, Mauri tu and Mahi toi – in essence a place to grow, that’s full of life and has moments of beauty and creative expression.
Stage 1 of the development comprises six separate walk-up and lifted apartment buildings, having a total of 92 apartment units. There is a central shared space created to encourage a place to relax, retreat, foster, gather and build community.
The project is being delivered under a D&C Contract with GJ Gardner. Pragmatix is project managing the construction phase as well as acting as Engineer to the Contract.
