Description of Project:
The Project is the design and construction of a new 100+ apartment complex on Esmonde Road on the North Shore of Auckland. The project provided for a range of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments as well as over 2,000m2 of commercial space.
Role Undertaken:
Pragmatix (Rob and Sarah) are assisting KBS Capital in delivering the first 100+ apartments on a site that is anticipated to house five accommodation towers, inclusive of commercial and retails spaces at ground level. Our role was to provide advice to a client who had extensive low scale residential experience (less than 3 storeys) but were foraying into a larger development. We carried out Design Management, Project Management and Engineer to Contract functions.
Value added to project:
The project was delivered at a very difficult time post COVID lockdowns in an environment where material supply chains were severely impacted. By working closely with the design team and the contractor, we were able to reduce costs without impacting on the quality of the apartments.
