Description of Project:
The project was to create a new 6,300m2 + warehouse building with offices built on a very constrained site in the very busy Auckland Airport precinct.
Role Undertaken:
Our role was to procure and lead the design team for Stride property as a spec build development. This started with the initial concept, through the Resource Consenting period, final pricing and estimating for the client feasibility, into building consent, procurement and through construction delivery.
Added to our role as project manager, we carried out the Engineer to Contract role under NZS3916 with Calder Stewart including the tenant liaison and coordination.
Value added to the Project:
Due to Pragmatix experience with Design and Build contracts, the design process was very efficient and tailored to suit the procurement of the Contractor.
Pragmatix worked collaboratively with Calder Stewart as the Contractor to deliver the project and integrate the Tenants requirements as part of the base build and then facilitate access for tenant fit out before completion of the main works to minimise any potential re-work.
