Description of Project:
The design and construction of a new interventional cardiology, radiology and oncology suite on Auckland’s North Shore.
Role Undertaken:
Pragmatix was engaged by Intracare (formerly Mercy Angiography) to project manage the fitout, including landlord, base build contractor / consultant team liaison, and led a highly skilled consultancy team to provide full design and construction monitoring to the client representative and reporting directly to board members. We also carried out he Engineer to Contract role on behalf of the client.
Value added to project:
We helped the client understand the technical complexities of the services (extensive HVAC, electrical, fire suppression) and structural requirements (vibration and acoustic dampening) to ensure their cardiology suite could operate without interference where a neighbouring tenant installed a gymnasium to the floor above. We were able to help them navigate these difficult constraints within their budgets and include other additional scope such as adding an 1,600 LED, programmable constellation ceiling feature.
