Tony Webb
DIRECTOR
Tony is a highly experienced project director with almost 40 years in the construction industry, working across contracting and consulting roles in New Zealand, the UK, the Netherlands, and Malaysia. He has led large-scale, high-value projects in sectors including retail, hospitality, accommodation, logistics, commercial, and civic infrastructure. His expertise in contract management, particularly under NZS3910 and NZS3916, has made him a trusted leader in overseeing procurement, financial controls, and project risk management.
Tony has acted as an independent Engineer to the Contract and Project Director on both traditional Lump Sum and Design and Build contracts, ensuring compliance and successful project delivery. His experience includes managing design and construction coordination, addressing complex ground conditions, and mitigating project risks through proactive engagement with clients and contractors.
Tony has successfully delivered major developments such as the Sylvia Park Redevelopment, Ruakura Inland Port Infrastructure, and Auckland Art Gallery Redevelopment. His ability to align teams, facilitate problem-solving, and manage commercial negotiations has been critical in achieving project objectives, even under challenging conditions such as unforeseen design changes, Covid-19 shutdowns, and supply chain disruptions. He has worked closely with board members, CEOs, and senior leadership teams, providing strategic guidance on complex projects. His experience in both the client and contractor environments allows him to bridge gaps between stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
