Denis Snelgar

NON-EXECUTIVE CHAIR

Denis has over 20 years of management experience including 10 years as CEO of two large, complex organisations; Waitemata DHB and Northland Polytechnic. In the last fifteen years, his focus has moved to be a leadership and vision consultant for a broad range of individuals, teams and organisations. He has a broad range of analytical, strategic, interpersonal and leadership skills essential to empowering individuals, teams and organisations to make a constructive impact.

Denis has also previously worked for leading New York global management consulting company JMW Consulting, providing leadership services to Fortune 500 companies around the globe to achieve extraordinary performance. Upon his return to New Zealand, Denis worked as a consultant bringing contemporary leadership practices to a wide range of organisations; from publicly listed to Not-For-Profits.

Denis has wide governance experience and currently chairs boards in Project Management, Professional services and the Maori Health Service provision. Denis has a degree in economics and philosophy as well as post-graduate business and teaching qualifications.
