Pragmatix is engaged as project manager and Engineer to the Construction Contract for Kiwi Property Group’s major expansion of the Sylvia Park shopping centre in Auckland.
The first three stages of construction of this major retail expansion were for international fashion retailers Zara and H&M, together with a mall ambience upgrade, and a dining district.
This has been followed by the construction of extensive multi-storey carpark buildings together with a further 19,000 square meters of new major, mini-major and specialty retail tenancies on top of the existing mall known as the Galleria. Construction was carried out whilst the centre continued to trade, requiring extensive planning and communication with all stakeholders to minimise the impact to the existing centre and tenants.
The project includes extensive infrastructure work, both private and public, including connection to, and diversion of major utilities (water, waste water, power, gas), roading, and intersection upgrades and associated civil works, and works over the Eastern electrified railway line.
