Southern Cross has engaged Pragmatix to provide project management and Engineer to the Construction Contract services for the staged redevelopment of its large private hospital on Auckland’s North Shore.
The overall project involves some 8,000 additional square meters of hospital and specialist clinic space on a 3-hectare site. The work has to be delivered in a manner that minimises disruption to patients and staff at the hospital and maintains critical services at all times.
Strong planning and coordination are required with the hospital because of the sensitive nature of undertaking construction work close to operational medical environments.
Future stages are currently in design and may include a new radiology and oncology space.
